LABOUR CANDIDATE TO USE SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY TO GET BEHIND OUR TOWN CENTRE
Small business Saturday comes to Loughborough this Saturday 1st December. It is an opportunity to celebrate the vital role that small businesses play in our area’s economy.
Stuart Brady, Labour’s prospective candidate to be Loughborough’s next MP will be using the day to hold a walkabout of small businesses. Stuart will be talking to small business owners about what they need to maximise the positive impact that they have on the area.
Stuart said “we all know the fantastic work that our small businesses do for our town and the broader area. They deserve our support. So, I will be using the opportunity to conduct a walkabout to do my Christmas shopping in our wonderful shops, and to take a few moments with small business people to understand their challenges.”
Stuart continued, “it is well publicised that town centres across the country have faced some challenges. Labour have been doing a lot of thinking about how we would address this in government. I want to make sure that Loughborough’s businesses are well represented in debates shaping Labour’s policy. That’s why I wrote to many of them last week to give them advanced notice of my Small Business Saturday walkabout and to start what I hope will be a long, detailed and mutually helpful conversation”.
